Wisdom in Scripture is not cleverness but the skill of living rightly before God, and it begins with the fear of the Lord. The Bible promises that God gives wisdom liberally to those who ask, without scolding them for needing it. These passages show where wisdom is found, what it costs, and how it bears fruit in an ordinary life.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
