The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Fruit is not manufactured; it grows, and it grows only in branches that abide in the vine. These passages describe the character the Spirit forms in those who walk with God, and the abiding in Christ from which all of it comes.
